About the course

Before you can be appointed as a Qualified Medical Evaluator, California’s Division of Workers’ Compensation requires you to complete an approved 16-hour report writing course. Oak Tree QME’s course satisfies this requirement in full.

This course is approved by the California Division of Workers’ Compensation to satisfy the mandatory 16-hour report writing requirement pursuant to CCR §11.5. Completion of this course fulfills the report writing requirement for initial QME appointment.

 

Course Format

  • The 16-hour course is delivered in two parts:
    • 10 hours of on-demand, self-paced online instruction
    • 6 hours of live virtual instruction via Zoom

    After enrolling, you will receive access to the on-demand materials immediately. You will then choose your preferred date for the live session component.

Does this course satisfy the DWC requirement?

Do I need to pass the QME exam before taking this course?
